NX Filtration supplies advanced nanofiltration membranes to Lantania for wastewater treatment at a paper mill
NX Filtration, a global leader in advanced membrane filtration technologies, has been selected by Lantania, the Spanish Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group, to supply its cutting-edge hollow fiber nanofiltration membranes for a wastewater treatment project at a paper mill. This project, currently under construction, marks a significant step towards achieving enhanced sustainability and compliance with strict water quality standards in industrial wastewater management.
The paper mill’s existing wastewater treatment plant faced challenges in meeting stringent COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) discharge limits. As such, the wastewater treatment system required an additional step to ensure compliance. NX Filtration’s hollow fiber nanofiltration membranes were chosen for their exceptional performance in reducing COD levels effectively and efficiently.
The upgraded treatment system will integrate the hollow fiber nanofiltration membranes with existing technologies, including coagulation, dual sand-anthracite filtration, cartridge filtration, and activated carbon filtration. This innovative combination is designed to ensure superior water quality and operational reliability for the paper mill.
Alejandro Román, CCO at NX Filtration, commented:
“We are thrilled to partner with Lantania to help this paper mill achieve their wastewater treatment objectives. Our hollow fiber nanofiltration technology is uniquely positioned to address the challenges of reducing COD levels while providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution. This project demonstrates our commitment to supporting industries in their journey toward environmental responsibility and operational excellence.”.”
