Microfiltration membranes

Our unique and high-end microfiltration membranes are ideally suited for the clarification of beverages, such as beer and wine, as well as for dairy, biotechnology and pharmaceutical applications

Our Microfiltration (MF) membranes are designed to remove larger constituents from any fluid stream via size exclusion. MF offers an superior alternative for traditional filtration methods (kieselguhr, diatomaceous earth) because of its higher and more constant quality, lower energy use and the possibility of continuous operation. The NX Filtration MF membrane material is hydrophilic PolyEtherSulfone (PES), which has an excellent chemical stability for the use in robust processes.

Applications
Our MF membranes are used for the clarification of beverages, such as beer and wine and are ideally suited for dairy, biotechnology and pharmaceutical applications. High performance plastics are used for our membranes and modules in order to achieve a sanitary design and enabling high temperature cleaning and sanitation, meeting the Food & Beverage requirements. Our products are typically cleaned with conformable concentrations of lye, acid or oxidizing agents.
Product specifications
Our membranes are designed for robustness and long life time, high throughput, low fouling, and consistent quality. They require generic cleaning chemicals only which reduces your operating cost. In addition to developing and filling specific modules for our OEM partners, we offer market standard plug and play module configurations.

Our MF500 membranes offer state-of-the-art beer filtration characteristics. Our unique production process allows for excellent size distribution and control resulting in optimal run times in your beer filtration process.

For the production of wine we offer 1.5mm MF100 wine filtration membranes as well as our unique 3mm MF100 hollow fiber membranes. The large diameter of these hollow fiber membranes has been developed especially for the efficient filtration of tank bottoms and lees, enabling an optimal efficiency of your wine production process.
