Direct Nanofiltration membranes
Worldwide unique nanofiltration concept, designed to remove microplastics, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and color from (waste) water
Our Direct Nanofiltration (dNF) membranes offer the unique combination of a low fouling hollow fiber configuration with the ability to remove organics and salinity (hardness) from water in one simple step. Other than a strainer, no further pre-treatment is required. We manufacture our membranes with a patented layer-by-layer process, where multiple nano-scale layers are deposited on a membrane support. This method enables very precise and controlled rejection and flux properties of the membrane. A unique solution for troubled water.

Applications
Our dNF membranes are the solution for color removal, COD/BOD removal, reclamation of cleaning solutions or coloring dye from water. Creating potable water directly from surface water, reclaiming industrial waste water, or removing medicine residues, microplastics and endocrine disruptors from waste water are areas where NX Filtration’s dNF membranes excel.

Product specifications
Our dNF modules provide an open, low fouling construction without obstruction by spacers as mostly used in other nanofiltration membranes. In addition, dNF modules can be backwashed. The robust chemistry allows continuous operation. Cleaning with chlorine and at very high or low pH are possible. Due to this chlorine tolerance, biofouling can be controlled for high fouling applications.

Projection Tool
Our third generation Projection Tool (NXPT 3.0) enables complete and robust system design for our dNF membranes and predicts the quality of permeate water produced. The tool was developed in-house combining expert modelling with extensive project experience. The detailed output information produced by NXPT 3.0 enables our customers to optimally design full-scale dNF systems.
