For the local production of drinking and process water for the Forsmark power plant in Sweden, ProMinent, a multinational water treatment systems supplier, was looking for a robust and reliable treatment solution.
Our solution
We applied our dNF40 nanofiltration membranes for the removal of color, TOC bacteria, viruses and other harmful compoundsas well as selective salt rejection. The installed system produces a daily product water flow of 850 m3 with a pretreatment consisting only of a rotating drum strainer with no additional chemical injection.
The result
The dNF one-step nanofiltration system holds a small footprint in comparison with existing conventional treatment and provides substantially better water quality with TOC levels below detection limit.
